Creation Cinema

'Creation Cinema' is an immersive, multi-sensory experience that invites visitors to share a moment of spiritual and sensory awakening. Opened in 2013, it is a permanent installation and part of the First Peoples exhibition at Bunjilaka, Melbourne Museum.

Sound, visual art, technology and storytelling come together to showcase creation stories for Victorian Aboriginal people and show their spiritual connection to Country. Inspired by the notion of continuity and the omni-present nature of creation, the centerpiece of this experience is a large kinetic sculpture which symbolises Bunjil the Creator, an eagle in flight. Visitors are invited into a spiritual space to see, and feel, creation in motion - past, present and future.

Kate led the project for ENESS and was a key creative contributor, from the original proposal through to concept development, production and installation.
